About The Position

The Active Directory Admin with a Server and AD DS focus supports Servers and Active Directory Services through design, implementation, testing, and maintenance focusing on Servers, domain controllers, group policies, user and computer accounts and ensuring the security and availability of directory services. This role is also responsible for monitoring performance, ensuring security and availability, analyzing and isolating issues and trends to determine solutions. The desirable candidate is professional with a customer service focus, organized, works with a sense of urgency, and communicates clearly and effectively both with customers and co-workers. This position is located in Tulsa, OK and is required to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience administering Windows Server environments including installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or equivalent job-related experience/knowledge.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of Windows networking.
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) including domain controllers, FSMO roles, Group Policy management, OU structure design, and identity/security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of directory services, authentication protocols, and identity management, such as Kerberos, NTLM, DNS, LDAP, and Group Policy processing.
  • Experience managing and securing virtualized and physical server environments, including performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system hardening.
  • Strong customer service orientation with problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a discreet manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID and hybrid identity (synchronization, SSO, conditional access, identity governance) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and automation for server administration, identity management, and configuration standardization.
  • Experience with Entra ID a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies for domain controllers and business‑critical server roles.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values”.

  • Responds to assigned Service Desk work orders within established guidelines.
  • Serves as the escalation point for the Infrastructure Administrator team.
  • Provides tier 3 support; gathers business assessment and provides troubleshooting such as switch and router issues, firewall configuration service outages, and work order routing and escalation to Level 4 support.
  • May also escalate to an outside vendor as needed.
  • Maintains all network devices, including scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot and repair network outages, performance issues and equipment failure.
  • Monitors network functions and suggests necessary improvements for both virtual and physical devices.
  • Configures and maintains network alerts in SolarWinds.
  • Maintains network security and secure data access to assure only authorized access and reports any security breaches to the IT Management Team.
  • Assists in the planning and estimating of projects including cost, scheduling, and resource requirements.
  • Utilizes an advanced understanding of the technical needs of our customers to articulate their business needs and provide solution resolutions.
  • Establishes and maintains healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
