About The Position

VTG is seeking a Senior Program Analyst (Strategic Action Officer) to support the Navy. Position is located onsite at the Washington Navy Yard in DC. Occasional telework. The Senior Program Analyst (Action Officer) shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Flag Officers, Executive Directors and COS for PEO Ships. The requirement is for a proven communication, analytics, and strategic action officer, a capable person to provide PEO Ships Leadership with knowledge management, strategic planning, brief development, action tracking, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control, database management, and proactive thinking. Primary Responsibilities: Proactively and re-actively respond short and long term asking from Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders, to provide quality on time products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis. Will work strategic initiatives to assess PEO Ships data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use. The scope includes developing strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.

Requirements

  • 7-15 years of Experience in DOD Analyst Support to include Flag Level Strategy Planning, Communication Approaches, Brief Development, Knowledge Management, and Process Improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree commensurate with business acumen
  • Sharepoint Knowledge/Experience.
  • MS Suite – Specifically Power Point, Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience.
  • Creative, poised, and flexible supporting leadership.
  • Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a former or current Action Officer
  • NAVSEA experience
  • Prior Navy Military experience.
