The Facilities Engineer is part of the Facilities Department and reports to the Director of Court Facilities. The work includes direct provision of facilities related services and equipment as well as supervision of contractors retained to provide building operational services. Responsibilities include creating and managing maintenance programs, including service contracts; provision of direct building maintenance and problem response, including emergency response; engaging in periodic building inspections; ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, rules, and codes; and overseeing renovation projects. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and administration of the facilities Capital, Major Project and Maintenance & Operational budgets. The Facilities Engineer works closely with the Finance, OIT, Security and Court Operations departments in the execution of purchases and with County, Municipal, and private court facility owners. Extensive regional and limited statewide travel is required, with in-state travel up to 60% of the time.
