The Center for Inclusive Education and Scholarship (CIES) is seeking a qualified Counselor/ Academic Coach to assist in providing supportive counseling, academic coaching, mentoring, and advising to students participating in Act 101 (The Pennsylvania Higher Education Equal Opportunity Program) to support student success and persistence. CIES provides comprehensive and integrated academic support, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programming to positively impact the retention, persistence, and sense of belonging for students who are first generation college students, low income, or historically underrepresented students of color. Our objective is to empower a community of scholars to pursue academic excellence, civically engage, acquire social and career capital, and develop as global thought leaders. GIES also serves as a student advocate and a catalyst for promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural competencies for the University. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and the ability to inspire it in others. This position is fully in-person as it will be meeting with students.
