About The Position

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare has an immediate opening for a full time (36 hours/week) Clinician who will work as the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Lead. This position will perform a variety of services of a QMHP in an outpatient setting to provide direct services to adults with chronic mentally illness. The clinician will be responsible for an assigned caseload that may vary in size. This position will directly supervise and oversee the services provided by QMHA’s and all staff working with the CSS and ACT populations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university
  • Valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to be insured under the agency motor vehicle insurance, MVR obtained
  • Ability to pass state required background check
  • Professional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Leadership skills to promote team cohesiveness

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of outpatient clinical experience working with people who have mental illness
  • 1 year of working with ACT Program

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group supervision to team members utilizing the Assertive Community Treatment model and strength’s based group supervision.
  • Maintain training and supervision logs.
  • Assist Program Manager to complete annual performance evaluations for all team members.
  • Directly supervise and oversee the services provided by QMHA and all staff in the ACT Program.
  • Develop work schedules, including after hour on-call schedule; approve time cards.
  • Coordinate and manage the ACT program to fidelity.
  • Provide assessment interviews for all new and returning clients to obtain comprehensive information regarding presenting problems. This includes the ability to conclude and assign Diagnoses.
  • Assist the client in developing a meaningful Recovery (Treatment) Plan.
  • Provide services that are tied to the Recovery Plan and assist client in modifying the plan as needed throughout the treatment process.
  • Conduct Mental Status Examinations and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
  • Help identify clients’ natural support system and be able to work within that system as appropriate to facilitate clients’ recovery.
  • Be knowledgeable of community resources, refer and facilitate clients’ accessing of theses supports as appropriate.
  • Provide case management services as needed to assigned caseload
  • Provide Group Services Treatment in keeping with evidence based practices.
  • Provide backup crisis response for ACT clients, and coordinate with the Crisis and Engagement team when ACT clients present in crisis.
  • Provide outreach services as appropriate..
  • Provide psycho-education to clients, families and the community.
  • Participate in regular team and agency meetings.
  • Complete and maintain all clinical documents and client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules and Quality Assurance standards established at CBH.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
  • Participate in Investigations, Court hearings, and other legal proceedings as directed by agency and/or subpoenaed and maintain the required documentation for the same.
  • Coordinate discharge planning with all treatment providers.
  • The ability to remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
