About The Position

Perform VIRTUAL-only Reading/English AND Math tutoring for K-12 students across the United States with flexible hours and higher pay than most tutoring companies. This role doesn’t require you to be in a classroom to work with students across the country. This role currently applies to teachers with experience teaching ACT/SAT Prep for 8th-12th grade in BOTH Math and English/Reading. We are seeking candidates that are available from 12pm-3pm Eastern. Tutored by Teachers seeks to close the opportunity gap and advance equity in education by supporting high needs students. Requirements

• 3 years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S., K-12, public, private, and/or charter school.
• U.S.-credentialed teachers preferred.
• Availability from 12pm-3pm Eastern.
• Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction.
• Experience with secondary math.
• SPED or ELL teaching experience.
• Bi-Lingual.
• AP course experience (any APs) helpful.
• Dedication to advancing equity in schools.
• Active teaching credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual small group instruction to algebra students across the country.
• Instruct both Math and English/Reading.
• Log in early to start sessions and prepare light materials.
• Deliver tutoring sessions and take session notes.
