About The Position

Sylvan Learning is seeking part-time ACT/SAT Instructors to work with high school students in preparing for standardized tests. The role involves delivering a proven curriculum in both individual and small group settings, focusing on math, reading, and writing. Instructors will engage and motivate students while tracking their performance and communicating progress to the Center Director. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Will consider standing Juniors or Seniors in College
• Minimum 80th percentile score on the SAT and/or ACT
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred
• Evening and Saturday morning availability required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills
• Strong team player

Responsibilities

• Engage and motivate students
• Manage small group teaching environment
• Track and manage individual student performance
• Communicate progress and results to the Center Director
• Ensure students achieve their highest possible test scores
