Our ACT teams are comprised of dedicated professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, mental health experts, substance abuse specialists, employment and housing specialists, and peer support specialists. Together, we collaborate to deliver comprehensive services, including therapy, medication management, and resource linkage, to adult individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). This position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, with onsite requirements as needed. We are open to both 1099 or full-time employment opportunities. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry
  • Licensed in PA
  • Strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and be knowledgeable about the ACT model.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within the coverage area.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments and treatment.
  • Provide clinical supervision, education, and training to the team.
  • Supervise medication management and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures.
  • Perform psychiatric assessments and present assessment results at team meetings and treatment plan meetings.
  • Offer individual, group, and family supportive therapy, as well as psychotherapy and illness education.
  • Prescribe psychotropic medications and conduct regular assessments of therapeutic responses and side effects.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses in assessing client physical health and coordinating medical treatments with psychiatric treatment.
  • Provide ongoing support, counseling, and education to team members and family members of clients.
  • Offer crisis assessment and management during regular work hours, on-site, over the phone, and as on-call backup during other hours.
