Supervise, plan, and oversee the work of youth specialty teams, support staff and department activities to include community response as well as the formulation of policies in accordance with Federal and/or State regulations; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; Coordinate and implement youth specialty teams and related program goals and objectives and provide a variety of administrative, professional, and technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Community Safety Department management team. The Youth violence intervention program team is a multidisciplinary group of mentors with lived experience and mental or behavioral health backgrounds that work to prevent and reduce gun violence amongst those between in middle and school aged youth working through the Albuquerque Community Safety (ACS) department. This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing. Work under potentially abusive, hazardous or emergency conditions.
