About The Position

Established in 2007, Post Real Estate Group (“PREG”) is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm focused predominantly on the acquisition and ownership of apartment communities throughout the country. Post has acquired in excess of $6 Billion of properties encompassing more than 45,000 units across 15 states and over 50 cities. Headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA, PREG also maintains operations in Dallas, TX. Vertical operations include property management, construction services as well as ancillary business services divisions. PREG’s specialty is in the creation and execution of complex affordable housing transactions in partnership with governmental agencies and non-profit organizations. In addition to multifamily, the company also owns a small portfolio of industrial buildings and mobile home parks. Job Description: Post Investment Group and its affiliated entities (“Post”) is in expansion mode and is looking for a qualified person to join our acquisitions team to participate in the due diligence and transition of newly acquired sites. The ideal candidate will have asset management and property level operations experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university (prefer science, real estate, business or finance) preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in hands on multifamily asset management and/or property management
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite Products
  • Familiarity with Yardi and Entrata Systems preferred.
  • An analytical approach with a results oriented mindset
  • Travel to properties will be required

  • Familiarity with Yardi and Entrata Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the strategic business plan for properties to be acquired via review of underwriting model assumptions and reconciling with current property operations and Post portfolio norms.
  • Perform detailed review of property-level and operational diligence reports for multifamily acquisitions, including financial reviews, physical inspections, vendor evaluations, and environmental/engineering reports.
  • Identify potential operating concerns and points of emphasis for discussion during due diligence period.
  • Assist with development of capital plan for property to be implemented after closing.
  • Review current service contracts and identify those needing to be assumed or terminated.
  • Conduct site visits during the due diligence period to identify value-add opportunities and other relevant information that will impact the ability to successfully execute the business plan for the acquisition.
  • Communicate with seller / property manager regarding ongoing property operations during contract period leading up to close of purchase.

  • Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience with opportunity for competitive bonus.
