Requirements
- Experience supporting DoD or Air Force acquisition and systems engineering programs
- Knowledge of weapon systems engineering and acquisition processes
- Experience conducting technical reviews, trade studies, and engineering analyses
- Ability to work in classified and operational environments
- BS IRD + 20 years RE; or
- MS IRD + 15 years RE; or
- PhD IRD + 5 years RE
- Clearance Requirement Ability to work in classified and operational environments
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering support across the weapon system acquisition lifecycle
- Conduct reviews of armament programs to evaluate alternative plans, designs, and system performance
- Support management and sustainment of program technical baselines and system specifications
- Prepare technical documentation defining system and subsystem characteristics
- Perform system-level design reviews, validation activities, and engineering analyses
- Analyze and evaluate results of major weapon system engineering efforts
- Support risk management activities in accordance with AF SEAM processes
- Conduct engineering trade studies evaluating performance, cost, schedule, risk, reliability, and maintainability
- Provide technical recommendations, studies, audits, and analyses in support of program decisions
- Support proposal evaluations, requirements analysis, and system requirements baseline development
- Review and analyze approved system concepts, user requirements, and allocated/product baselines
