Key Responsibilities Provide systems engineering support for bomb rack and store release systems across the acquisition lifecycle Support design, development, integration, test, and sustainment of suspension and ejection systems Evaluate system and subsystem performance to ensure compliance with approved specifications Analyze and assess analog and digital electrically fired impulse cartridges, gas, and pneumatic mechanisms Conduct technical reviews and support system-level testing of bomb rack and release mechanisms Prepare and review technical documentation defining system and subsystem characteristics Support engineering trade studies evaluating performance, cost, schedule, risk, reliability, and maintainability Provide technical recommendations, analyses, and support to Government program offices and IPTs Review and analyze approved system concepts and requirements entered into system requirements baselines Required Qualifications Experience supporting DoD or Air Force weapon system acquisition programs Demonstrated knowledge of bomb rack, store suspension, and release systems Familiarity with electrically fired impulse cartridges, gas, and pneumatic mechanisms Experience conducting engineering analyses, technical reviews, and system evaluations Ability to work in classified and operational environments Education & Certification BS IRD + 20 years RE; or MS IRD + 15 years RE; or PhD IRD + 5 years RE Clearance Requirement Ability to work in classified and operational environments Canvas was founded by Jami Peyton in 2007 to deliver real-world engineering and technology solutions that strengthen national defense. Requirements

  • Experience supporting DoD or Air Force weapon system acquisition programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bomb rack, store suspension, and release systems
  • Familiarity with electrically fired impulse cartridges, gas, and pneumatic mechanisms
