Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 7 years or more of government and/or consulting experience, preferably defense-related
  • Experience with the Government's legislative process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of defense contracting and acquisitions
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, and able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities
  • This position requires an active security clearance at the Secret level. You must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, maintaining, and tracking current NDAA impact papers for statutory provisions of interest
  • Assisting with management of the NDAA Appeals lifecycle, including drafting statutory language, responding to feedback, coordination, and submission
  • Drafting and coordinating legislative proposals to implement Department priorites
  • Developing and delivering executive-level briefings as required to provide the results of analysis performed
  • Maintaining a current and accurate internal documentation library.
