About The Position

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Policy Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Dir-AO (Acquisition Operations). Acquisition Operations (AO) enables SOF AT&L execution by providing enterprise policy integration, program security, urgent capability coordination, and leadership-level management tools and metrics. AO tracks incoming requirements and accelerates solutions through SOFCIDS, ensuring operator-driven needs are funded and fielded quickly while maintaining compliance and audit readiness. AO also serves as SOF AT&L’s gateway for international acquisition and partner engagement—supporting foreign military sales, cooperative R&D, technology release and disclosure, foreign comparative testing, and crisis support—while connecting operational stakeholders to acquisition pathways that deliver secure capabilities at the speed of need. This is a full-time position located at MacDill AFB, FL

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
  • Certifications: DAWIA Level II in Program Management / Policy Management in the Program Management field
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting acquisition programs, including:
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing regulations and directives and their programmatic effect
  • Experience researching program bottlenecks to production and providing solutions
  • Experience reviewing/assessing/mitigating issues related to cost, schedule, performance, and Risk

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting acquisition programs, including:
  • Identification and coordination of USSOCOM, DOD, and OSD Policy instruction.
  • Alignment of policy program requirements.
  • Management & execution of Travel.
  • Coordination with USSOCOM & SOF AT&L leadership relating to Policy Determinations.
  • Preparation of Documentation for USSOCOM & SOF AT&L Acquisition Policy

Responsibilities

  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in the requirements development process in support of Senior Managers and Government counterparts.
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Review/assess program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance with policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary.
  • Coordinate program information with personnel.
  • Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs.
  • Determine requirements; develop goals and objectives to accomplish the mission of Program Support, government counterparts to ensure execution of programs in accordance with plans, and to modify program policies and procedures based on changes to regulations.
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in the development of solutions to program issues.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Analyze data and metrics in support of the Quarterly Management Review (QMR) process.
  • Work with PEO/DIRs in creating/modifying measurable and meaningful metrics for SOF AT&L's six (6) functional areas: Financial Mgmt, Contract Mgmt, Acquisition Logistics Mgmt, Program Mgmt, Technical Mgmt, and Manpower Mgmt.
  • Work with AR's Game Changers to ensure data sources and metrics accurately present information to SOF AT&L leaders.
