About The Position

Odyssey Systems is recruiting to fill an Acquisition Logistician, Senior position supporting the Mobility Directorate (AFLCMC/WV), at Hanscom AFB, MA. Responsibilities Perform tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy. Produce or review documents supporting acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts for program office use. Support program office during all acquisition phases: Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation & Risk Reduction, EMD, Production & Deployment, and Operations & Support, including milestone activities. Apply knowledge of Air Force’s 12 product support elements (per Product Support Manager’s Guidebook). Assist with transportation plan development and defense transportation system processes. Apply knowledge of GFP/GFE purchasing to determine cost, develop budgets, process purchase documentation, and resolve issues to ensure asset availability. Identify and recommend opportunities to reduce weapon system total ownership cost. Assist with planning, managing, and coordinating cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned weapon systems or subsystems. Integrate supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance functions into logistics activities required to sustain system fielding. Monitor compliance with milestones and performance criteria; coordinate and integrate taskings. Continuously evaluate program support effectiveness; identify conflicting objectives and priorities, analyze deficiencies, and provide recommendations. Review program documents and assess impacts of external actions and conflicting priorities on development, production, and logistics support. Obtain agreement on required actions, schedules, and resolve conflicts concerning program and policy matters. Demonstrate working knowledge of logistics policy and guidance, including Title 10 USC Section 2466 and NDAA amendments. Understand theories and principles of ILS planning, development, and execution; system life cycle concepts; and contractual processes. Assist in planning, analyzing, and coordinating system acquisition and transition into operational use. Support material solution analyses leading up to design reviews; assist in producing draft documentation and presentation materials. Identify and correlate requirements for money, manpower, material, facilities, and services; develop and analyze data to determine logistics objectives and goals. Assist in identifying support requirements (funding, contracts, technical support) and establish relationships among participants for plan deployment. Demonstrate knowledge of logistics and maintainability programs, including product support RAM-C, test and evaluation planning and execution, and technical evaluation of logistics requirements. Assist in developing logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; perform systems acquisition requirements analysis. Apply understanding of budgetary/financial analysis, life cycle cost control, AIS hardware/software standardization, and compatibility. Collect, compile, analyze, and apply logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data; assist in developing or validating documentation for automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems. Assist in managing, monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating ILS implementation and acquisition projects throughout execution. Monitor compliance with milestones and performance criteria; coordinate taskings across functional organizations. Continuously evaluate program support effectiveness; identify deficiencies and advise USG on corrective actions. Gather facts, develop conclusions, and provide recommendations for issues impacting program solutions.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, twenty (20) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
