Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a veterinary owned and managed network of animal hospitals dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care to companion animals while ensuring exceptional client experiences. With over 420 locations across the country and backed by a leading private equity team, SVP is seeking a highly qualified Acquisition Diligence Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in Birmingham, AL. This role is integral to SVP's finance team and serves as a crucial partner to our business development team. The primary responsibilities of the financial diligence team focus on confirming the quality of earnings (QoE) of target hospitals, conducting multi-year forecasting for these hospitals, and performing valuation modeling for all acquisitions and capital expenditure (capex) projects. As an Acquisition Diligence Analyst, you will assist in the preparation of our internal QoE workbook, which is essential for analyzing hospital results and identifying risks, opportunities, and necessary adjustments. You will collaborate with business development, hospital sellers, and sell-side advisors to gather, analyze, and comprehend transaction-level details in the historical financial results of the hospitals. Additionally, you will prepare pro forma financial results and forecast the next 24 months for target acquisitions, utilizing input from our operations teams, insights from our existing platform, and analytics from our business intelligence team. Your role will also involve analyzing hospital operating expenses at the vendor level to ensure continued efficiency in vendor selection and spending by operational expense category compared to other SVP hospitals in the same region. Clear communication of financial results, risks, opportunities, and other relevant information to various teams throughout the organization, including executives, operations, finance, accounting, and business intelligence, will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
