About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an Acquisition Analyst to join our team and provide comprehensive acquisition and financial management support to Army programs in Huntsville, AL. This role supports the development and execution of acquisition strategies that enable rapid prototyping, experimentation, and fielding of emerging technologies. As an Acquisition Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, acquisition, logistics, public administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in DoD acquisition, program management, or related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience supporting Army or joint acquisition programs
  • Strong understanding of DoD 5000 series, FAR/DFARS, and Army acquisition lifecycle processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience working in DoD or federal acquisition environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting rapid acquisition, prototyping, or experimentation programs
  • Familiarity with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) procedures and agreements
  • Experience supporting RCCTO, PEOs, or Army Project Offices
  • Experience with acquisition activities supporting logistics, sustainment, or infrastructure planning
  • Knowledge of software/hardware procurement and lifecycle management
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and executive-level communication skills
  • Experience with cost tracking/reporting tools and DoD acquisition systems
  • PMP certification or advanced degree

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of acquisition strategies, procurement plans, and contract documentation for FAR-based and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) acquisitions
  • Prepare and coordinate acquisition documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Justification and Approvals (J&As), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, program leadership, and industry partners to align acquisition strategies with mission objectives
  • Develop and maintain cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments aligned to program requirements
  • Facilitate review and coordination of acquisition packages across government and industry stakeholders
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical interchange meetings, and working groups to support program milestones
  • Track and report status of contracting actions, funding execution, and program performance metrics
  • Support market research, compliance reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives across acquisition and program operations
