As an acoustician in our Seattle office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. Why We Need You: In this role, you will deliver high-quality work that drives repeat business while collaborating with architects, engineers, and other built environment professionals. You will support design teams on architectural acoustics, mechanical noise and vibration control, and environmental noise, maintain strong client relationships, and meet financial targets. Responsibilities include developing acoustic designs and documentation, presenting coordinated solutions, reviewing drawings for code compliance, and coordinating with manufacturers, contractors, and design teams to resolve challenges and implement practical solutions. This role is regional and out-of-state travel is required on occasion. Our Seattle office is also hybrid and would require a minimum of 3 days in office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Acoustics, or a related field with coursework in building acoustics.
  • Brings 3 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead acoustic design development and prepare clear, accurate documentation.
  • Skilled in researching, developing, and presenting coordinated design options.
  • Reviews drawings and investigates code requirements to ensure compliance with city, state, and county regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with manufacturers, design teams, and contractors to resolve challenges and develop practical design solutions.
  • Brings knowledge, or a strong motivation to develop expertise, in conducting vibration analyses and related studies.
  • Shows proficiency with engineering design software, including SoundPlan, EASE/CAT acoustics, and AutoCAD/BIM.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build effective relationships with staff and clients.
  • Brings a strong client focus, with a commitment to quality and effective problem‑solving
  • Communicates clearly and confidently in both spoken and written form.
  • Excels in organization and time management.
  • Shows quick technical comprehension and motivation centered on achieving strong client outcomes.
