About The Position

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an Acoustic Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to help grow our established Noise and Acoustics practice. This position will be located in our Manhattan, NY office location but will collaborate with GZA employees across the country. What You Will Be Doing: Applying the latest technologies and techniques to our noise and acoustics related projects. Working on projects including affordable housing, schools, rail projects, transportation, hospitality, power/substations, data centers, battery energy storage systems, and much more. Interacting with clients providing professional solutions and expanding business opportunities. Collaborating with GZA’s current noise and acoustics practice leaders on expanding our market presence across the country. Performing site visits. Modeling, testing, and reporting. GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be collaborating with other practices and disciplines within GZA. What You Will Be Bringing: Some project management experience preferred.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of acoustic experience.
  • Acoustic modeling experience in programs such as CadnaA, SoundPlan, TNM, EASE
  • Experience with ASTM ASTC/NIC testing

Nice To Haves

  • Some project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with public testimony is a plus.
  • Experience with coding VBA, Lua, Python, MatLab
  • INCE Bd or PE is a plus.
