About The Position

The ACOM Insurance Licensing Technician is responsible for reviewing and processing insurance licensing applications for companies seeking to operate in Arkansas. This role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, analyzing financial information, and communicating the licensing process to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Three years of experience in forms review and verification, general office duties, or a related area.
• Ability to interpret and apply rules, laws, and policies to specific situations.
• Knowledge of state insurance laws and licensing requirements.
• Basic computer and data processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate insurance licensing applications.
• Determine capital and surplus requirements for insurance companies.
• Reinstate Arkansas insurance certification as needed.
• Communicate the licensing process to entities seeking to conduct business in Arkansas.
• Review and analyze insurance computer information and provide information to callers or licensees regarding licensure status and requirements.
• Conduct research on special projects related to foreign insurance companies with regulatory issues.
• Communicate with insurance company officers regarding operations and examination questions.
• Ensure correct fees are received and processed appropriately.
• Perform market analysis and review appointment information for processing or rejection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Anticipated starting salary of $32,404.94 with a salary range of $32,405.00 - $51,686.00.
