About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ACNP or PA to join our Cardiology team. This hybrid position combines inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities with key administrative duties. Clinically, the provider will support cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery services, including structural heart care, by managing patient evaluations, follow-ups and coordination of care across settings. In the inpatient setting, responsibilities include rounding, collaborating with the care team and assisting with procedures as appropriate. Outpatient duties involve seeing patients in clinic, conducting pre- and post- operative assessments and supporting continuity of care. In addition to clinical work, the provider will take an active role in administrative functions such as quality reporting, ensuring billing compliance and working closely with the quality team to support program goals. The APP will also lead and facilitate structural heart team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and multidisciplinary collaboration. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm, offering a consistent daytime shift that supports both patient care and administrative engagement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Master's degree Physician Assistant program OR Master's degree in Nursing with successful completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Tennessee.
  • BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
  • Current ACLS.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the state of Tennessee.
  • National certification in a specialty (such as ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP).
  • Certificate of fitness from the state of Tennessee.

  • One year of experience in a cardiothoracic intensive care setting.
