About The Position

We are seeking an ACNP or a PA to join our inpatient cardiology team with a specialized focus on electrophysiology and structural heart procedures, including watchman device implantation and PFO closures. The provider will be responsible for managing patients care throughout the procedural process, including pre- procedure evaluations, inpatient rounding, post-procedure care and discharge planning. This role involves close collaboration with electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists and the broader cardiovascular care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the provider will play an active role in administrative functions. The APP will work closely with the Quality Improvement department to enhance performance metrics and improve quality scores. The provider will take ownership of the Watchman and PFO closure preparation process, ensuring that protocols and workflows align with nationwide standards and best practices. This position requires a strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a hospital based, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

  • Master's of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) with successful completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program OR Graduate of Masters degree- Physician Assistant program.
  • Demonstrated competence in nursing specialty with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an RN in practicing specialty.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the state of Tennessee.
  • National certification in a specialty (such as ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP).
  • Certificate of fitness from the state of Tennessee (as required by specialty).
  • BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward.
  • ACLS certification required for those involved in direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Critical Care.
  • Experience in Emergency department.

Responsibilities
