About The Position

UT Health East Texas is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the beautiful city of Tyler, TX. We welcome both experienced and graduating acute care nurse practitioners who are passionate about ICU practice and hospital rounding on cardiovascular and thoracic patients.

Requirements

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification
• Experience in ICU practice preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology
• Interest in professional development and continuing education

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with 2 Surgeons, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and a supportive staff
• Provide care mainly in the ICU with hospital rounding on Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery patients
• Manage a daily patient load of 15-20 patients
• Participate in rotational shifts with some weekend requirements
• Handle clinic call duty on a 1:3 basis, telephone only
