About The Position

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Transporting patients to and from procedure areas including patients that must be accompanied by ACLS personnel. Performing the following tasks: hemostasing arterial/venous puncture sites, prepping patients, cleaning instruments/rooms, preparing sterile trays, working with materials and supplies. Assisting with the day-to-day activities necessary to increase the overall efficiency of the lab. Providing direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and sedation for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Two years of related work experience in a health care facility to meet Paramedic level of training or equivalent.
Licensure by the state of Georgia EMS Authority and must be CPR and BCLS certified.
Must achieve ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Must obtain EMT National Registry within 18 months of employment.
Must have interest in training for Cath Lab tech at 18 months and sit for (and pass) RCIS within one year after starting Cath Lab training.

Nice To Haves

Experience in obtaining medical history, performing physical examination of patients and providing emergency care during transport preferred.
