ACLS/PALS Instructor
About The Position
As the Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ACLS/PALS) instructor, you will teach courses through hands-on skills demonstrations, video presentations and lectures. You will also instruct Neonatal Resuscitation Provider courses. You will teach or assist in at least one course every two months and may teach classes at the CPR Rescue Training Center or other ProMedica and non-ProMedica facilities. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 years of critical care experience (current or previous ex : ICU, ED, EMT, etc.)
- Current license for profession - RN, RRT, EMT, Paramedic, etc.
- Current AHA ACLS/PALS and/or AAP NRP Instructor, Current Provider in ACLS/PALS and BLS or must get certified in AHA ACLS Instructor and/or PALS Instructor within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare related field
- Current experience working directly in Critical Care ( ex: ICU, ED, EMT, etc.)
- 2 years of active ACLS/PALS/NRP instructing experience
- AHA BLS Instructor
