Acid Pickling is ap process that involves immersing steel in an acidic solution to remove surface oxides, rust and other impurities. This process helps enhance the steel/s surface quality and provides better conditions for subsequent processing and coating.

1-2 years in industrial machinery

Responsibilities

Read work orders/bill of materials to determine product specifications.
Responsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates.
Use and maintain various types of equipment and machinery.
Reporting/communicating machinery issues to supervisor/maintenance.
Inspect products to ensure product excellence and quality using measuring tools (tape measure/micrometer/tensile test machine)
Obtain all required approvals.
Label packages.
Use of forklifts, cranes, and hand carts to load/unload machines and to move material to and from machines.
Record and document production as well as all downtime.
Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including carrying out daily safety inspections.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained.
Complete all documentation and turn in work order to supervisor.
Train new operators.
Cut samples for quality control.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Work in confined spaces.
Follow all PPE
Read SDS’s to familiarized with chemicals used
Complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.
Know and understand lockout/tagout
Operate various tanks, LRS equipment moly spray, precoat and bake
Work in various weather conditions (inside/out)
Work in a dusty environment
Pump and remove various solutions from tanks
Make up new solutions for processing tanks as required
Monitor baker parameters as required
Monitor baker temperature
Ensure product cleanliness (LRS)
Work overtime as required.
Assist production manager and other operators as necessary
Ability to communicate – verbal and written.
Ability to perform basic math functions with accuracy.
Basic computer skills for data entry purposes
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
