Our challenge We are seeking an experienced ACI MTS (Money Transfer System) and UPF (Universal Payments Framework) Engineer with proven expertise in Control Center deployment and integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing core financial and payment systems, ensuring seamless transaction processing, system automation, and centralized network management within 4G/5G core networks. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95k - $105k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain ACI MTS and UPF solutions to support secure and scalable financial and payment transactions. Lead the implementation and integration of Control Center platforms for comprehensive network management, orchestration, and automation. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to gather detailed technical requirements and deliver integrated payment and network management solutions. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues related to MTS, UPF, and Control Center components, and deliver swift resolutions. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures. Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and upgrades to ensure optimal system operation and compliance with industry standards. Stay updated with the latest developments in NFV, SDN, and financial payment standards (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT) and incorporate best practices. Liaise with vendors and internal teams to coordinate system upgrades, support activities, and future enhancements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related technical field. Extensive hands-on experience with ACI MTS (Money Transfer System) and UPF (Universal Payments Framework) in carrier or banking environments. Proven experience with Control Center systems for telecom or financial network management. Strong understanding of 3GPP standards, NFV, SDN, and cloud-native architecture for telecom and financial systems. Familiarity with automation tools, scripting (Python, Bash), and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenStack. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in root cause analysis. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred, but not required: Industry certifications related to NFV, SDN, or financial systems (e.g., CCNA, Cisco DevNet, AWS, or equivalent). Experience with 4G LTE and 5G NSA/SA core networks. Knowledge of security best practices for financial and telecom systems. Familiarity with international payment standards and protocols. Requirements
