About The Position

Join Central Payments as an ACH Specialist II, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of ACH and EFT transactions. As part of our Financial Operations team, you’ll help support the systems and processes that power secure, reliable electronic payments for our partners. What You’ll Do: Support the daily operation and maintenance of the ACH Processing System (ACHPS) to ensure seamless inbound and outbound transaction processing Perform daily validation and checklist activities to ensure all ACH and EFT transactions are processed accurately and on time Monitor and resolve ACH exceptions including unpostable transactions, risk limit violations, return requests, proofs of authorization, reclamations, and Written Statements of Unauthorized Debit (WSUD) Assist with system implementations, testing, and process improvements related to ACH processing and electronic payments operations Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to execute system updates, risk limit changes, and test scenarios Maintain and manage the ACH inbox, ensuring timely responses and compliance with partner requests Prepare monthly operational reports and analyze partner activity to identify trends and operational insights Maintain and update ACH procedures to ensure compliance with Nacha rules and regulatory requirements Support internal departments and partners by answering questions and providing guidance on ACH operations and electronic payments processes Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency within payments operations and EFT processing Why You Should Join Us: Be part of a fast-growing fintech company that powers modern payment solutions Work alongside a collaborative team focused on operational excellence in electronic payments Build expertise in ACH, EFT, and payments operations within a supportive and innovative environment

Requirements

Experience working in ACH processing, payments operations, or electronic payments environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and transaction data
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing payments and reviewing exceptions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
2–4 years of experience in ACH processing, EFT processing, account reconciliation, or payments operations roles (such as Payments Operations Specialist or Electronic Payments Specialist)

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Nacha Operating Rules and ACH Network guidelines preferred
Experience with ACH processing systems such as ACHPS (FIS/eFunds) preferred
Working knowledge of banking regulations and electronic funds transfer (EFT) processes is a plus
