Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate
  • Current Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) certification
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAM Level III (One of the Following): CISM CISSP (or Associate) GSLC CCIS
  • Ten (10) years of full-time experience performing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Validation for Navy systems
  • Demonstrated experience in all the following areas: Performing STIG assessments, including using SCAP benchmarks and Evaluate STIG Conducting vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool Utilizing and executing processes within eMASS Developing Security Assessment Plans Performing Risk Assessments Completing full Risk Management Framework Package while acting as the Validator Communicating risk reduction recommendations to stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive RMF validations for Navy systems, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards
  • Conduct thorough security assessments using STIG checklists and automated scanning tools
  • Utilize eMASS for documentation and process execution
  • Develop detailed Security Assessment Plans and Risk Assessment reports
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate security vulnerabilities and risk mitigation strategies to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to enhance security postures
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies
