About The Position

The Accreditation Specialist supports organizational excellence by coordinating and managing accreditation, regulatory, and licensure activities across the organization. This role serves as a subject-matter expert on accreditation standards, ensures continuous survey readiness, and partners with clinical and operational leaders to maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements.

Requirements

  • Accreditation Specialist 1 requirement:
  • Education/Experience: Associate Degree and 2+ years experience, HS Diploma/GED and 4+ year experience
  • Clinical background strongly preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
  • Accreditation Specialist 2 requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree/BSN or experience in lieu of degree, Master's degree prefered
  • Experience: 2 years, clinical background preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
  • Meridian location/Monday thru Friday day time hours

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accreditation and regulatory activities for applicable accrediting bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission, DNV, CMS, AAAHC, state agencies).
  • Serve as the primary resource for accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and interpretive guidance.
  • Lead ongoing survey readiness efforts, including tracers, mock surveys, and compliance audits.
  • Manage preparation, coordination, and execution of accreditation and regulatory surveys, including document submission and on-site/virtual survey support.
  • Track standards compliance, findings, and corrective action plans; monitor progress to closure.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to implement and sustain compliance improvements.
