About The Position

We are seeking a Accreditation Specialist REMOTE that will be responsible for monitoring compliance with company ethics, standards and company and government compliance guidelines and regulations in an effort to prevent and/or detect potential fraud or abuse. 100% REMOTE Work from Home day one of employment Must live in the US

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills

  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet

  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Background check (company-wide). Results will not be used automatically to disqualify individuals. Instead, the Company will conduct an individualized assessment that considers the duties of the position, the nature and timing of the offense, and any evidence of rehabilitation, in accordance with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Two year degree from an accredited college; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • Relevant experience in home health care, respiratory care or related health business industry, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducts audits and review of billing data to detect inconsistent billing or operational practices.
  • Investigates allegations of fraud/abuse made by patients, staff or other credible sources.
  • Conducts on-site review of facility records as required to assess adherence to company compliance standards.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel and other corporate executives as necessary to outline appropriate response and action plan for areas identified as risk or incompliant.
  • Prepares report/summary of key finding and recommendations for submission to legal counsel or other staff as appropriate.
  • Interfaces with company departments and field personnel to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures with regard to company compliance plan.
  • Participates in design and delivery of training programs to ensure Rotech employees are aware and adhering to company compliance standards.
  • Serves as resource for corporate and field staff for Medicare coverage and billing standards and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
