About The Position

The Dayton, Ohio VAMC is looking for an Accreditation Nurse Specialist for the Quality and Patient Safety Service. The Accreditation Nurse Specialist has responsibility and accountability for the medical center's coordination and preparation for surveys/visits by federal and external accrediting agencies.

Requirements

• 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with Service Chiefs, Program Specialists, and Medical Center leadership to plan, design, integrate, implement, modify, and evaluation program compliance.
• Executes designated responsibilities demonstrating leadership and creativity in the management of the integrated accreditation program.
• Directs organization-wide processes for evaluating, monitoring, and improving compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Contributes to the organization's processes to prepare for, participate in, and follow up on regulatory, accreditation, and certification surveys and activities.
• Contributes to an environment of a High Reliability Organization with a culture of safety founded on a systems approach to developing health care solutions based on prevention, not punishment, with collective mindfulness.
• Other duties as assigned.
