In this role, you will support the Central Billing Office, working closely with billing supervisors and specialists, practice managers, and others to ensure optimal revenue cycle efficiency and patient satisfaction. This position plays a crucial role in the efficient and effective financial operations of the hospital and helps make a life-changing difference.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of CMS 1500 forms.
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of insurance websites for verifying eligibility, benefits, claim status, and processing corrected claims.
  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle process including patient registration, billing, denial tracking/resolution, accounts receivable, local/state/federal regulations, medical terminology, and payer contract familiarity.
  • Computer and systems competency in health systems and interfaces, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and electronic health records.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of EPIC.
  • Three (3) + years of experience in revenue cycle operations.
  • Three (3) + years of working PB experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Central Billing Office by working closely with billing supervisors and specialists, practice managers, and others.
  • Ensure optimal revenue cycle efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Utilize outstanding communication skills and superior multitasking abilities.
  • Showcase knowledge of CMS and other insurance carrier guidelines, CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers.
  • Handle claim corrections and appeals.
