About the position

The DHHS Financial Service Center is seeking an Accounts Payable Processor I. In this position, you will support the Department's mission by ensuring accurate and compliant financial transactions. You will review and process payments, verifying transaction accuracy and proper disbursement, complete housing verifications for state assistance programs, troubleshoot EFT payment issues, and analyze transactions requiring further review while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy, security, and adherence to policies and legal requirements. Collaboration with team members to improve processes, resolve issues, and achieve department goals is also a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities

  • Support the Department's mission by ensuring accurate and compliant financial transactions.
  • Review and process payments, verifying transaction accuracy and proper disbursement.

Requirements

  • Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks.
  • Ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures.
