About The Position

McDowell Center for Children is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes. The Business Office Coordinator ensures the collection of payments due to the facility in a timely and accurate manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of McDowell Center for Children. The Business Office Coordinator coordinates and controls the business office and collections function. Daily functions will also include payroll and timesheets. The Business Office Coordinator supports the delivery of quality services and the financial goals and objectives of the organization through effective daily management of financial data, billing and collections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field or four (4) years equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) years accounting experience in health care environment preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel and Word required.
  • Prefer five years clinical experience in a psychiatric in-patient facility with knowledge of high-risk areas.
  • Three years management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of procedures related to a health care environment.
  • Current knowledge of regulating/accrediting agency guidelines.
