About The Position

The Senior Accountant is a mid-level professional responsible for overseeing and managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and producing accurate financial reports. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health of an organization by maintaining accurate records, analyzing data for decision-making, and supporting leadership with actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex financial analyses and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Reconcile account balances and bank statements while maintaining the general ledger.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Assist with tax audits, tax returns, and internal/external audits.
  • Monitor and document internal controls to support audit teams.
  • Manage and mentor junior accountants or accounting assistants.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
