About The Position

Located in Yreka, California, the Siskiyou County Office of Education provides direct educational programs for a specific student population and financial oversight of budgets of school districts in Siskiyou County. We provide many services including essential student programs and specialized resources to schools on a countywide basis. We work in partnership with other educational, governmental, and community agencies to bring needed grants and other resources to the students in Siskiyou County. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency, supplemented by college-level coursework
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or educational equivalent
• Knowledge of efficient office methods and procedures

Nice To Haves

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in keeping financial records, or two years of experience working in bookkeeping, or educational equivalent
• General knowledge of education codes, government codes, and state and federal laws relating to vendor claims
• Experience working in a school district or county office of education
