About The Position

Ultium Cells are looking for an Accounting Team Leader who is passionate about accounting, cost analysis, and understanding how business transactions impact company performance. This role will lead the accounting team and work closely with FP&A, Internal Controls, and Treasury teams to support production, sales, and overall financial operations.

The ideal candidate will not only manage day-to-day accounting activities but also analyze data to drive process improvements and support decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
• Good communication and time management
• Experience with financial reporting and data analysis

Nice To Haves

• SAP experience
• Bilingual in English and Korean
• Experience in the manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year-end closing
• Supervise a team of 3 accounting staff
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Oversee product costing and ensure proper cost data is integrated into the SAP system
• Monitor and improve inventory control processes
• Work with FP&A on actuals reporting and analysis
• Prepare ad hoc reports and support special projects
• Handle sensitive financial information with professionalism
