Position Summary Serves as subject matter expert for the Fixed Asset Accounting group’s technology system integrations with source data systems. Ensures that fixed asset system structure and interface programming logic is producing accurate accounting results for all fixed asset projects. Develops a full understanding of the source data integrated from “Workday” ERP, “Maximo” field management system and “OFS” Oracle Field Service for Utility Operations. Works with IT system administrators as needed to diagnose and resolve technical and programming logic issues or errors. This position will interface heavily with outside technical experts as well as internal subject matter experts from Operations to ensure that the Powerplan system is appropriately capturing capital project and accounting data accurately. This position will lead future fixed asset system technology projects. This will include actively participating in design sessions, creating testing scripts and managing the testing cycle. This position will also ensure they are aware of any upstream system changes and upgrades which could impact PowerPlan data and require testing before upstream system project go live. They will serve as an advocate to represent Plant accounting stakeholder needs. Creates best practices and is responsible for ensuring Plant accounting staff are trained on such. Drive process efficiencies using technology and automation where possible. In this position you will work closely with operations, IT and IT Project management, and Internal Audit. This lead member will independently plan and execute tasks supporting the department. This role resides in utility fixed asset accounting and represents utility fixed asset accounting’s business functions and needs; therefore, must have a strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and PowerPlan system.
