About The Position
The Accounting Specialist position at North Alamo Water Supply Corporation is a full-time role based in Edinburg, TX, within the Accounting Department. This position is responsible for preparing monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, excluding fixed assets, and updating revenue and expense tracking schedules. The specialist will conduct various month-end journal entry preparations, which include customer billing, receipts and adjustments, accounts payable month-end accruals, and general ledger review adjustments. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of activity reports related to water and wastewater customer billings, cash receipts by type, and loan/note payable schedules. The Accounting Specialist will also assist the Controller with special projects as needed and participate in job-specific training and other required corporate training programs. Compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as established corporate policies and procedures, is essential. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
