About The Position

The Accounting Specialist position at Visions is a full-time role focused on ensuring accurate financial operations within the organization. The specialist will be responsible for daily balancing of source systems to the general ledger, performing reconciliation variance analysis, and assisting with various finance-related tasks. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of the credit union and supporting other departments with their inquiries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 1-3 years of experience related to office operations and/or financial services.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business field of study.

Responsibilities

• Daily balancing of source systems to the general ledger, including ATMs, ACH transactions, and electronic payment platforms.
• Independently perform reconciliation variance analysis.
• Perform accurate and timely data entries to the general ledger and other core system transactions.
• Provide Hunt Group call coverage to support other departments' inquiries into finance-related issues.
• Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly finance tasks such as 2900 report preparation and submission, Fannie Mae Freddie Mac Audit, and 1099 INT review.
