About The Position

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building materials company, is seeking a Full-Time Accounting Specialist for our Corporate office in Clearwater FL. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Accounts Payable Team with various tasks such as processing emails, coding invoices, posting vendor payments, and reviewing vendor statements. Reconcile daily Cash Receipt Journals for the assigned yards. Research and clean up AP and APPO accounts. Work with AP team, yards and vendor on discrepancies. Responsible for monthly reconciliation of various accounts such as (but not limited to) prepaids, AR Other, and Rebates. Record bank transactions (i.e. Non-AR Cash Receipts, bank fees, NSF, LOC transfers). Assist assigned yards with various issues that may arise. Sales tax reconciliation and filing. Responsible for various month-end duties, such as store and yard use, accrue tax on purchases, inventory adjustments, and transfers. Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus; Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree required
  • Accounting experience is helpful
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
