About The Position

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our accounting team by handling the timely and accurate processing of employee expense reports. You will help maintain financial accuracy while ensuring compliance with company policies in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Experience: Experience with expense report processing and government contracting is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in processing and reviewing reports is essential.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple reports and deadlines efficiently.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheet tools.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with employees and management.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze expenses and identify discrepancies or trends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with expense report processing and government contracting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document Collection: Gather all necessary receipts and documentation from employees.
• Verification: Ensure expenses comply with company policies and are correctly categorized.
• Data Entry: Input expense details into accounting software or spreadsheets for tracking.
• Approval Process: Route expense reports to appropriate managers or finance personnel for approval.
• Reporting: Generate reports to assist management in analyzing spending trends and budget adherence.
• Support: Provide assistance to employees regarding expense reporting procedures and address any related issues.
