About The Position
Ready to bring your accounting experience to a collaborative team within a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving public education across California? Location : Remote (must reside in California) Schedule : Approximately 15 hours per week during standard business hours Duration : Through June 30, 2026
Requirements
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role
- Ability to work independently and take initiative (startup or small-team experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Education sector experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Reconciling, reviewing, and processing credit card statements
- Reconciling, reviewing, and processing travel reimbursements
- Entering, reviewing, and processing purchase orders
- Monitoring receipt of materials and invoices
- Assisting with payroll and other routine accounting functions
- Helping maintain accurate and organized financial records
