About The Position

The role of the Accounting Specialist is to support the operations of the dealership by performing diversified duties including accounts payable support, cash handling activities, reviewing accounting schedules, sales coordinating, and assisting the Accounting Manager with day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High School diploma.
  • Experience in a general business environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily cash deposits and reconcile the cash drawer.
  • Code accounts payable invoices in a paperless workflow environment and communicate with vendors on payment status.
  • Assist Accounting Manager with schedule review and prepare journal entries for corrections.
  • Create truck invoices, assign titles, submit flooring payoffs, and provide support for managing inventory.
  • Provide support for answering and routing incoming phone calls, as needed.
  • Manage office supply inventory and replenish supplies, as needed.
  • Gather customer credit applications and third party credit reference information to submit to credit team for review.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or General Manager.
