Requirements

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Six or more years of similar experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and accounting software packages

Responsibilities

  • Review workpapers, reconcile accounts, and compile financial statements for clients
  • Advanced knowledge of payroll taxes, benefits, and forms
  • Process payroll and review payroll tax forms such as 1099s, sales tax forms, etc.
  • Advanced understanding of client accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop and Online)
  • Provide timely and accurate accounting assistance per client requests
  • Oversee payroll and sales tax audits and respond to related tax notices
  • Assist with individual and business preparation services
  • Promote staff development through mentoring, training, retention, and team-building activities
  • Prepare proposals for request for services
  • Perform billing tasks
  • Participate in community and marketing activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
