About The Position

Partner with leaders and accounting and finance subject matter experts to originate, quantify and execute qualified program opportunities Manage and develop processes to enable appropriate financial reporting and outcomes in support of strategic financial initiatives Design and maintain documentation, controls and policies relevant to strategic initiatives, the related GAAP accounting conclusions and the disposition of those initiatives under the Strategic Optimization Program, including presentation for executive leadership Consult proactively with technology and business operations leaders and finance personnel in executing on the objectives of the Strategic Optimization Program and its underlying initiatives in adherence with internal policy and FASB and SEC requirements. Consults with business accountants and leadership to provide technical accounting and reporting guidance in the context of the Strategic Optimization Program related to business decisions, products, transactions and/or other relevant circumstances or events, and to ensure alignment with finance partners. Areas of research may include but are not limited to Restructuring (ASC 420), Lease accounting (ASC 842), Property, Plant and Equipment (ASC 360) and SEC Regulation S-K.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated high level of ethics and integrity
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with business partners globally
  • Demonstrated competency in the area of professional savvy and negotiating
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • MBA a plus.
  • Familiarity with Health Care, life insurance & investment accounting and terminology a plus
  • Experience in financial and operational auditing and review, as well as a broad range of business issues (acquisitions, divestitures, systems, benefits)
