About The Position

You will act as a guardian of financial compliance and a strategic advisor on technical accounting matters. Research, analyze, and provide guidance on technical accounting matters related to new business initiatives, including M&A, strategic investments, capital transactions, and hedging activities. Monitor and review new accounting standards (U.S. GAAP & IFRS). You will summarize impacts, communicate changes to applicable stakeholders, and assist in developing robust implementation plans. Navigate the broad conceptual foundation of accounting standards to research issues independently while managing multiple concurrent assignments. Play a key role in the preparation of quarterly SEC filings, specifically owning the completion of assigned footnotes and complex disclosures. Provide quarterly updates to the Director of Global Accounting regarding new standards and exposure drafts. Board Preparation: Prepare materials and documents for the Accounting Policy Governance Board (APGB) meetings. Lead the ongoing review of the Company Finance Manual (FM) and perform annual updates for FMs owned by the Accounting Policy Office (APO). Continuous Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of Finance Manuals, MCRPs (Management Control Review Program), and internal desk procedures to ensure best-in-class operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep, proven understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and present to all levels of cross-functional management.
  • Prior experience in Big 4 public accounting or a corporate technical accounting policy role.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly preferred.
