About The Position

This is a full-time, hybrid career opportunity based out of our Corporate Headquarters location in Lancaster, PA. The primary responsibility of this position is to process, execute and reconcile transactions for accounts payable and fixed assets, cash and due reconcilements, sales tax and escheat processing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
  • 5 or more years accounts payable, fixed assets, and reconcilements. (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business or other applicable. (Preferred)
  • 2 or more years sales tax and escheat processing. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following corporate and department policies and procedures to ensure that invoices and expense reports are in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for entering invoices into accounts payable system, processing checks in a four-day turnaround time schedule, and for processing journal entries associated with check processing.
  • Review and approve expense reports in Chrome River software.
  • Responsible for the set-up of new vendors by obtaining IRS form W9 and/or form W-8BEN for foreign vendors and maintaining the vendor file.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the corporation's current capitalization policy. Assign fixed asset coding per the current fixed asset schedule, upload fixed assets to the fixed asset system.
  • Analyze bank statements and reconcile to general ledger. Determine the type of transaction and the department responsible for processing and notify responsible department for clearing of items. Initiate research and follow-up of open items. Following policy, determine the eligibility of exception items for write-off and recommend to Accounting Operations Supervisor.
  • May assist with the compilation and preparation of sales and use tax return preparation for various affiliates and multiple states. Maintain a working knowledge of sales and use tax laws for the states the corporation operates in.
  • May assist with the escheat function in preparing, filing, and remitting data to all states, as well as escheat audits.
  • This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.
