About The Position

We’re looking for an Accounting & Operations Associate to help keep Regard’s financial and operational engines running smoothly. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting and finance processes, including financial reporting, forecasting, payroll, invoicing, insurance, and month-end close, while partnering closely with our VP of Finance and outsourced accounting team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across our financial systems and operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, with the ability to manage both recurring daily tasks and more strategic financial projects
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Clear and effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a tech company, with familiarity in software revenue recognition
  • Exposure to startup environments, including financial planning and scaling operations
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our outsourced accounting firm to ensure timely and accurate month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Manage client invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, including reimbursements through Ramp
  • Partner with People Ops to process payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring accurate benefits, deductions, and headcount data
  • Maintain and update the company’s financial model with actuals and assist with forecasting and budgeting cycles
  • Track and analyze company expenses, flag variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Help prepare monthly financial summaries and presentations for investors and board meetings
  • Manage insurance documentation, COI requests, policy renewals, and business or tax registrations
  • Contribute to improving internal controls, policies, and workflows to drive efficiency and accuracy
